Homemade Granola

This homemade granola recipe is a family recipe. I love how it tastes when it comes out of the oven. It is sweet and crunchy. It is very easy to make and you can put it in a container if you are bringing it on a picnic.

In a Large Bowl, Mix:

7 cups rolled oats

1 cup of wheat germ

1 cup of coconut

1 tsp of salt

(You can also add sunflower seeds, raisins, nuts, etc.)

 

In a small saucepan, heat:

3/4 cups vegetable oil

1/2 cups brown sugar

2 Tbsp honey

3 tsp vanilla

 

Pour over dry ingredients and mix. Spread on 2 cookie sheets and bake in a 250 degree (121 degrees celsius) oven for one hour
